about me
hi, i'm talia mann!
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in eating disorders, trauma, and grief & loss in California. I received my Master of Arts degree from Antioch University in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Psychological Trauma. I completed my traineeship at Beit T’Shuvah, a residential addiction treatment center in Los Angeles where I worked with clients struggling with substance use.
In addition to my journey recovering from an eating disorder, I also have experience working in eating disorder treatment where I provided psychotherapy, group therapy, and personalized care for adult and adolescent patients in PHP and IOP programs.
I utilize a variety of treatment methods including Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Art Therapy, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing.) I’m a weight-inclusive, Health At Every Size, and anti-diet clinician. I also understand how much cultural values and systemic oppression can greatly impact personal growth. I am committed to creating a non-judgmental space to support individuals with a culturally sensitive lens.
The relationship you have with your therapist is essential for your growth and change. I strive to create a secure, nurturing, and trusting relationship with all my clients to safely explore obstacles and process trauma. I take a collaborative approach, ensuring that your voice is heard and respected throughout the therapeutic process. Ultimately, I want to help you lead your best and most authentic life. I'm currently accepting new clients and I would be honored to support you on your mental health journey!
